About three miles into my run, I saw a large jar on the side of the Highline Canal Trail. I found this odd, so I walked up to it to investigate further. Inside the jar was a large supply of dog treats, and atop the jar was the note written above. This was sweet, but also unspeakably sad. I was glad that I had seen it, and my heart goes out to the family that has just lost their Callaway.
